About Us
Our founder is Steve Carroll business advisor and founder of Porterdale our sister company.
Porterdale is a business advisory company based in Sheffield, UK. Led by Steve Carroll, Porterdale have supported over 1,000 businesses with their business growth plans.
Steve created the Clearview business planning software from his passion for finance education. He says, “We couldn’t bear seeing business owners unnecessarily losing sleep over their finances. Our goal is to alleviate the pain and confusion caused by lack of information and understanding. No business should have to struggle due to lack of finance knowledge. And when everything finally clicks into place, it’s a feeling we absolutely love.”
An experienced Finance Director, Steve is a Chartered Management Accountant and is licensed by CIMA. His roles include several years as an Access to Finance Advisor with the Sheffield City Region Growth Hub and as a Business Growth Advisor with Business Sheffield.
Lindsey Owen provides part time financial controller services to companies of sizes and kinds.
She is here to provide ongoing advice as well as conduct finance process reviews. With over 20 years of accounts experience and holding senior positions in both small and large companies, Lindsey brings a wealth of expertise. Since joining Porterdale in April 2021, she has been offering a range of part-time support to our clients, and she is an ideal fit for companies in need of additional accounts and finance assistance without the need for a full-time staff member. She has also successfully managed two business relocation projects and is well acquainted with various systems including Xero, Sage, and Excel.
